Located in Inari, Lapland, Taigausko is a purveyor of sustainable outdoor safari experiences together with our arctic husky sled dogs.
Our offgrid base camp is located between Muotkatunturi wilderness area and lake Muddus, in the northern edge of boreal taiga forest, near it’s transition to arctic tundra.
Our aim is to provide a chance for the traveller to share in the heartfelt joy of the husky dogs running along a trail; and to savour the transitory moments of exquisite beauty of midday sunlight exposing a hundred shades of white in the snow covered landscape, the headlamp beam reflecting back from a million tiny ice crystals on the trees along the path, and the dance of campfire flames in the dark under starry sky undiluted by floodlights of civilization.

a sledding tour in varied landscapes with scenic views of the wilderness from hillsides, ~1,5h on trail, and time to meet the husky dogs and sit by campfire drinking tea after sledding
our routes include uphills and downhills for maximal enjoyment and view, sled driver will need to push the sled on uphills, this makes the flow experience of gradual downhills possible
we bring no snowmobiles or other engines on the trail while on safari, guides travel by dogsled too, this ensures natural ambient soundscape
includes hot drinks & headlamp for the duration of the evening tours
